Advocacy Committee
The Advocacy Committee is responsible for developing GVF’s policy agenda and responding to legislative and regulatory initiatives impacting the vitiligo community. Victor Huang, MD, is the current chair.
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee is responsible for increasing awareness of vitiligo and the GVF brand. Ammar Ahmed, MD, is the current chair.
Development Committee
The Development Committee is responsible for guiding the organization’s institutional advancement strategy and objectives. Pearl G. Grimes, MD, is the current chair.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee oversees GVF’s budget, fiscal performance, financial statements, investments, fiscal procedures, and other financial matters. Iltefat Hamzavi, MD is the current chair.
GVF-C (Community Committee)
The Community Committee, known at GVF-C, is open to all vitiligo support group and organization leaders and all other individuals with vitiligo interested in using their lived experience, voice, and actions to support and empower people affected by vitiligo and to advance greater awareness, understanding, inclusion, and access to care. Tonja Johnson is the current chair.
Medical Advisory Committee
The Medical Advisory Committee is responsible for supporting GVF by providing medically relevant and accurate information to better inform the vitiligo community. Amit Pandya, MD, is the current chair.
Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee is charged with evaluating and nominating persons as officers and directors of the Foundation. Pearl G. Grimes, MD, is the current chair.
Research Committee
The Research Committee evaluates proposed research projects to determine consistency with GVF’s mission and awards research grants for vitiligo-related projects. Harvey Lui, MD, is the current chair.
Scientific Meetings Committee
The Scientific Meetings Committee is responsible for developing scientific meetings for GVF to promote the education of physicians, residents, fellows, scientists, and researchers to improve knowledge of vitiligo etiology, epidemiology, quality of life, diagnosis, and management. Vitiligo Support Committee
The Vitiligo Support Committee guides GVF’s strategic initiatives that support patients/individuals with vitiligo and GVF’s assistance of vitiligo support groups. Tonja Johnson is the current chair.
