Meet Dr. Botir Saatov, PhD, MD, also known as @botirsaatov on Instagram and Botir Saatov on Facebook. Dr. Saatov has presented his research at multiple GVF Scientific Symposia.
Dr. Botir Talatovich Saatov is the founder of the Saatov Vitiligo Clinic in the Republic of Uzbekistan, which is the only one of its kind in his country. In 2010, he successfully defended his PhD thesis on the topic: “Clinical and biochemical study of the mechanism of vitiligo development and development of a method for its pathogenetic therapy.”
In 2018, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic: “Genetic and metabolic disorders in the pathogenesis of vitiligo and the development of methods for their correction.”
At this time, Dr. Saatov and his team are involved in innovative and applied projects of the State of the Republic of Uzbekistan entitled: “Identification of marker gene polymorphism in vitiligo, and the development of new methods of pathogenetic therapy using nanotechnology” as well as “Widespread introduction of a new method of external therapy in the Republic of Uzbekistan vitiligo spray “Lipovitilin” prepared from local raw materials in combination with physiotherapy procedures.” To read more about Dr. Saatov’s research, click here (PDF).
