April 2021
Our recent 2021 Annual Scientific Symposium offered many outstanding presentations from leading vitiligo researchers, who addressed an audience of physicians and research scientists. We have shared the videos of these talks here. Our first invited speaker, Brett King, MD, PhD, associate professor of dermatology at Yale University School of Medicine, who spoke about “Ultraviolet Light is Not Synergistic but Necessary for Repigmentation of Vitiligo.”
Dr. King specializes in inflammatory and autoimmune skin diseases. He has pioneered the use of Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors in dermatology, and his work has revealed the broad utility of JAK inhibitors for the treatment of alopecia areata, vitiligo, and atopic dermatitis, as well as other conditions. He has lectured nationally and internationally and published numerous articles on this and other topics.
